Logistics operation for the installation of a PTA industrial unit in the port of Sines - Advisoring

Advisoring services for a group of private Portuguese companies interested in a logistics operation to support a PTA industrial unit in the port of Sines. The operation consisted of the filling, storage and delivery of approximately 25,000 containers per year to various international clients located in different geographical areas and countries.

Main tasks: Design of the container storage layout; Analysis and evaluation of the investments required: equipment, storage areas, administrative buildings and warehouses; Estimation of the human resources required for the different operations; Analysis of the shipping lines to be used; Analysis of the technologies available on the international market for the proper packaging of some very specific products and by-products; Economic and financial feasibility study with projections: balance sheets and projected profit and loss statements, cash flows, internal rates of return (for the project and for the shareholders), payback period and financing options.
